Hello. I am considering buying the groupon deal for the 2 hour class for my husband as a gift. He has some experience with scuba diving but is not certified. Also, we live in Pinehurst and he works in Maxton. Can you tell me what options might be best for him and some idea of cost related to possibly becoming certified? I see the deal notes that there are classes for different skill levels but I’m not sure where that fits in with the package and with becoming certified. Thanks for any help you can offer.

With the Group-On deal you get a two hour Try Scuba where we put the gear in the pool and go over skills with you and let you swim with the gear on so you can see what it is like to actually scuba dive. At that point if you decide to take the actual class then we deduct the amount you paid for your Group-on from the Price of the Open Water class where you are actually certified to dive. Open Water class is $285.00 for the academics and pool work including the text. At that point you have up to six months to do your check off dives as we go to the quarry, off the coast of NC and SC, or go off to Florida or some small island somewhere….. We do encourage you to have your own mask, fins, and snorkle by the time you do your check off dives, and we will aid you in that if possible. any other questions please call us or stop by and let us go over everything with you…..
